'Ram Naam Maha Yagya' with 1,008 Narmadeshwar shivlings to commence in Ayodhya

A majestic 'Ram Naam Maha Yagya' is set to take place on the banks of the Saryu River in Ayodhya from January 14 to 25, marking a significant event in anticipation of the upcoming Ram Temple Pran Pratishtha ceremony. At the helm of this elaborate ceremony is Atmanand Das Maha Tyagi, also known as Nepali Baba, who originally hails from Ayodhya but currently resides in Nepal.

Preparations for the grand event have already transformed the sand ghat of the Saryu River into a tent city sprawling across 100 acres, situated 2 km away from the Ram Temple. The meticulously organized ceremony includes the construction of 1,008 huts to house the Shivlings and a majestic mandap boasting 11 layers of roof. Atmanand Das Maha Tyagi expressed that, while the 'Ram Naam Maha Yagya' is an annual tradition during Makar Sankranti, this year's edition has been scaled up in light of the Ram Temple Pran Pratishtha ceremony.

The event is not only a spiritual endeavor but also aims to accommodate a substantial number of devotees. Arrangements have been made to host 50,000 devotees daily, with a daily feast organized for approximately 1 lakh devotees. The 'havan' will commence on January 17, featuring the recitation of 24,000 verses of Ramayan, and will continue until January 25.
